Transitioning into harmony

I dont think it’s any coincidence that world peace day (21st Sept) Mabon (22nd sept) and the transit of Libra (23rd sept) are so closely bound to each other during this time of year. Mabon marks the transition from summer to autumn, long days, to long nights, warmth to cold, light to dark. It is also the time that traditionally we would move from making hay whilst the sunshines to harvesting the last fruits ready for the cold barren winter. This equinox is a time to consider all that we have nurtured during the summer months, all that we have held dear and assess what we feel is working and what needs to be left behind. Nature does not hold on to old leaves, or stay forever dark, but it ebbs and flows, with the changing tides, with the seasons with every breath.

We can learn much from this Libran transition as nature balances the growth of summer with the barren winter months. We can tune into this natural Libran energy of peace and harmony by considering that which we have taken for granted whilst the sun was shining, whilst preparing to learn the lessons of the colder darker days. With many of us spending more time indoors to get out of the cold, it is the perfect season to cosy up, spend time with loved ones and appreciate our relationship. A time to cultivate peace and harmony with all that life has brought to you, so that balance can be restored.
